The CYMA CM.048S GEN-2 airsoft replica is inspired by the AKMS rifle and features a solid construction with steel, wood, and metal components. The GEN-2 version includes the CYMA V3 MOSFET, a quick spring-change system, and a short, high-torque motor for better trigger response and smooth operation.

The model reproduces the classic AKMS look, including the folding steel stock. The receiver, stock, top cover, and flash hider are made of steel, while other external components are metal. The forend is made of laminated wood, providing an authentic look and a good grip. The pistol grip is made of durable nylon, and the magazine is metal. The replica features a unique serial number on the body.

Internally, the replica uses a V3 gearbox with a quick-change spring system, 8 mm steel bearings, and a piston with metal teeth. The pneumatic system includes a Type 0 cylinder, a 19.60 mm polymer nozzle with an O-ring seal, and a metal spring guide on bearings, ensuring stable and durable operation.

The short neodymium magnet motor ensures efficient operation and rapid response. The CYMA V3 MOSFET improves electrical efficiency and protects the contacts. In its standard configuration, the replica achieves approximately 390 FPS/119 m/s and a rate of fire of approximately 20 BBs per second.

The replica is equipped with a 450 mm brass inner barrel, 6.04 mm in diameter, and an adjustable metal hop-up chamber for a stable trajectory and accuracy at medium ranges. The outer barrel features a 14 mm CCW thread for mounting compatible accessories.

Power is supplied via a T-connect connector, compatible with 7.4V and 11.1V LiPo batteries. The battery is mounted under the top cover.
