The Specna Arms SA-F21 assault replica uses the quick spring replacement system, ESA. This system allows for the rapid replacement of the main spring, thus adjusting the replica's discharge velocity to the playing area, ensuring an ideal compromise between firing efficiency and the safety of the user and other players.

The replica has a factory-integrated SA ETU 2 MOSFET, which means the following can be set:

- Burst firing mode - from 1 to 5 shots in automatic mode
- Binary trigger
- Trigger sensitivity (3 levels of settings)

Additionally, the SA ETU 2 MOSFET protects the motor from current overloads and has a sound warning system for battery voltage that is too high or too low. The MOSFET has an activity control mode; after an hour of inactivity, the MOSFET will shut down, and restarting will require reconnecting the battery to the replica.

It is recommended to use only Li-Po/Li-Ion batteries.
