Does airsoft hurt

Here we open the "journal" of an airsoft veteran who has endured it all on the field and dare to ask you: Does airsoft hurt?

For some of our customers, airsoft is their second "love" after paintball, so they are quite accustomed to the impact of the pellets.

"Does airsoft hurt more than paintball?"

Well, no, because the projectile (the pellet) in airsoft guns is smaller, so the impact is less stingy.

On the other hand, there are customers who are hearing about airsoft for the first time, try it with fear, and ask us:

"Does it hurt a lot?"

Answer: It stings...

Certainly, the experience varies from one player to another: depending on their tolerance level, the equipment used, shooting distance, type of pellets used, etc.

We asked and here are some responses we received from airsoft veterans:

"The closer you are to the shooter, the more it hurts."

"If you get hit, you feel more disappointed that you didn't manage to hide better."

"It depends on who hits you; some just hit you once, others empty a whole magazine on you."

"If you're hit on bare skin, it stings like crazy."

"It hurts the most on the face."

"Imagine the sensation of being snapped with a rubber band, but multiplied."

"The sensation depends on where you get hit."

"The effects of full-auto fire can leave you feeling it for a week."

The list could go on... we invite you to add to it.

These are the physical effects, the bruises (which we jokingly call war wounds and tend to them with care), but there are also psychological effects.

Some players get demoralized, others get angry and argue, while some deny feeling anything when hit.

It's important to learn something each time you're hit and to progress: to hide better, be more attentive to opponents, change your playing tactics, etc.

As players tell us, it sounds like a dangerous sport.

It can indeed become one, especially if you're not properly equipped.

As long as airsoft is played fairly, rules are respected, proper protective gear is worn, shooting distances are adhered to, nothing bad happens.

If you're a novice and the thought scares you a bit, and you wonder why so many are passionate about airsoft and play almost every weekend, if it's such a stingy sport?

Because airsoft is a beautiful sport and worth the sacrifices.

We want to hear your opinions, whether you play airsoft or are still into paintball. :)
