* G-15: Technology introduced in 1950 by the U.S. Air Force in producing glasses for pilots. These are special lenses that filter light and give the user a neutral, real true-to-life perspective. Edge Eyewear is the first company to produce ballistic glasses with G-15 lenses.
* VAPOR SHIELD: special layer made by Edge Eyewear against the fog, designed to cope with extreme conditions.
Ballistic Glasses Acid Gambit Edge Tactical come in package with lenses:
Transparent VAPOR SHIELD Anti-Fog Lenses : the most suitable lenses for indoor, where light is weak. Provides 99.9% UVA / UVB / UVC protection. 85% of total light passes through these lenses.
Cooper Lenses Tiger's Eye VAPOR SHIELD Anti-Fog : Edge Eyewear is the first company to introduce this type of lenses on the market. These are made with a Blue Light filter. Blue light comes into the eye in a shorter wavelength, causing it to focus too far in front of the retina. The result is a blue blur that reduces eye fatigue, especially when driving. The copper-colored lenses filter the blue light and give the user a better perception of the environment. The image will be clearer and brighter. Provides 99.9% UVA / UVB / UVC protection. 50% of total light passes through these lenses.
VAPOR SHIELD Anti-Fog G-15 smoke lens : suitable for a wide variety of brightness.
Provides 99.9% protection against UVA / UVB / UVC rays. 15% of total light passes through these lenses
The company is recognized on the eyewear market, Edge Eyewear takes responsibility for the safety of the users who choose their products.
Rigorous tests ensure the alignment with the military standards and the achievement of durable products.
Edge Eyewear was the first company to make ANSI polarized safety lenses.
There are two methods to produce polarized lenses. The method called "thermoforming" or "heat stamping" did not produce polarized lenses that are robust or thick enough to withstand the intense impact tests required by the ANSI Z87 + and MCEPS standards. The polycarbonate lenses, pioneered by Edge Eyewear, contain ionized crystals that filter light in a way similar to the polarized film, but leave the lenses thick enough to withstand impact according to the military standards required by ANSI Z87 + and MCEPS.
All Edge Eyewear products are tested according to:
* ANSI Z87.1 + 2010
* MCEPS GL-PD 10-12 (Balistic Military Standard)
Caution! Glasses provide protection against the impact that can be caused by metal particles, wood chips, sparks and general construction site or recreational hazards. Although tested to meet the listed safety standards, they are not indestructible. Protective supplements such as mesh goggles or face masks should be used when large amounts of particles (chips, shavings, etc.) are flying in the air.
DO NOT use these glasses to protect you from laser, chemicals or activities with high levels of infrared radiation.
